- How does this group's program compare and contrast to your program?
- How could this program have used fewer blocks?
- What questions would you like to ask this group about their trial and error process?
- Why do you think this program was successful or unsuccessful?
Take a look at the five program codes below. Each code should cause the robot to stay within a predefined area, or "stay inside a box," for 30 seconds. Write a comment for one or more of these codes, keeping the following in mind:

1.I think this code is unsuccessful because they forgot to put how many times they wanted this to happen. They also forgot to connect the stop sign to the red light.

This group could lose a motor.

1. Our program is connected to the stop light and they put 2 power levels in a row. They could take out either a or c at the end of the program. Why didn't you connect it to the stop light ?I think it was unsuccessful because it's not going work without it completely connected.
Schneider 5-401
1/18/2012 05:25:49 am
3. Our program is similar to #3 and not #1 because we connected all the boxes.

3. I choose number 3 because it is like mine. The only difference is, instead of 5 times doing it I did it 4 times. Also, instead of 39 I got 38.
jesus 5-401

2.there are no errors. this looks like mine.
Olga 5-401
1/18/2012 05:35:11 am
3.This group is different from mine because my group instead of the loop we just kept repeating the same process. To have fewer blocks you can take out the second A forward. Is 5 loops enough to fit 30 seconds? It is successful because it has all the right programs.
jesus 5-401

3. this program looks like #2 so i guess it works.

4. The difference between this program and our program is that my team didn't use the numeral constant. Also we didn't use the speed. I think this program is successful because it is almost like my program but they only added the speed and numeral constant.
Jalis5-401
1/18/2012 05:35:56 am
5-My group had 41 on the light sensor. I think you could take one block to make ,it spin, out.
Magdalena 5-401
1/18/2012 05:35:59 am
1. My gropes program is similar to number one. We programed the car to go on power level 1 so the car has time to measure how dark the tape is, so it does not fall of the table. We also had the number 45 for how dark the tape is. We also had the end loop connected to the stop light at the end.
Olivia 5401
1/18/2012 05:36:04 am
3.My group did the same thing except for the number for the light sensor.Im not sure how this person could have used fewer blocks.
Veronica 5-401
1/18/2012 05:36:27 am
3. This group is similar to my groups process because it has the same loops also the same programs. The only way it could have fewer programs by taking out the last C in the program.
kayla 5-401
1/18/2012 05:36:38 am
3. I chose code #3 because i thought it was the most successful when using the light sensor. The things that both my group and this code share are that, the light sensor is on 38 my program. The difference between our programs are that, instead of making the program repeat 4 times my group and I made it repeat 3 times.
Leslie 5-401
1/18/2012 05:36:55 am
3.Our program connected to the stop sign and they forgot to connect it and forgot to put a stop sign. This was similar than mine because I also put a loop on my program. My question about this program is why did they just leave the stoplight out and didnt connect it.To make this a shorter program I would take away an arrow for the spinning.
Martinee5-401
1/18/2012 05:37:00 am
1.The difference between are program is we connect everything and we put the numeral constant under the white loop.2 don't now 3. why didn't you connect all the squares. Also why didn't you put the numeral constant under the first loop 4. This program was not succsesful because you didn't connect.
Kailyn 5-401
1/18/2012 05:37:06 am
1. Our program was the different because we did the program the long way. We didn't use loop.I actually thought ours needed less blocks.
Kailyn 5-401

1.Our program was different because we did the program the long way. We didn't use the loop or the land and jump. I actually thought we needed less blocks.

This is my answer for #2.I think code #2 can use fewer blocks. Instead of the foward and back button ,you can just select one block. This is my answer for #3.I would like to ask code #1 why didnt they connect the block with the red stoplight?.this is my answer for #4.I think that #1 was unsuccessful and #3 is successful.
Brandon5-401
1/18/2012 05:37:22 am
I think 1. is like mine because my team and I put a loop. This program could use less blocks by removing the second turn command block
matthew 5-401
1/25/2012 05:40:26 am
3. I think number 3 is correct because my groups program except our light reading was 45. This program did not need to spin, it needs to spin. Is 5 loops 30 seconds? This program is successful because it was correct.
jessiah 5-401
1/25/2012 05:41:59 am
3. Some differences between program 3 and my program is that the person that created it used the loop when I specifically used all the functions that were needed. Another thing is that the person programed their robot to spin at one point and also turn. Something that is the same is that the darkness the person's robot measured was 39. Some question I would like to asked the group that made program three is that how come their program had to repeat itself for five times. One other question I have is that if an error occurred in the process of this program was the group successful after learning from their mistake in creating the program. I think there is a 50-50 chance that program 3 could have been successful or unsuccessful.

On my program i told my program how many time to repeat itself. I don't think this program would or could use fewer blocks.why didn't they connect the red light signal thing with the other blocks? I think the person who made this did not succeed on there program!!!

Is compares because we did something just like them.It seems intrusting that we are doing something like them.i wonder if we where saw post to do something the same because if we did its like we are on the same team.
tanairi 5-301
1/26/2012 03:44:13 am
1. it compares because we did this in class we used the light senser so when it sees a dark stop it can stop and not fall over it also tells it to go forward or back just like what we did in class .

i think or say it is number 2 because it is how our robot can know what its doing and going to do a good job and for it can be focused and to do what you think it should be that is why i say it is number 2 and also number 3 makes sense but it does not tell the robot to do the right thing thankyou alysmarye

HI IRIS
stephanie 5-301
1/26/2012 03:46:17 am
it could have you fewer blocks because there are blocks that use to thing at the time.so then it would be much easier to do the block.instead ok wasting time on more blocks.
kevin5-301
1/26/2012 03:46:24 am
the stoplight was not connected thats why it did not work

my group did the same exact thing as number 3 but insted of using the light sensor my group used the touch sensor. And in number 5 the loop is so far away from the ABC stop light why?
tanairi
1/26/2012 03:47:39 am
2. thiss can not use any less blocks because it allready used tha loop and it allrady used tha abc stop in stead of a stop b stop c stop !

i would like to ask them why did they waste time on butting so many blocks.they should have put less block because since that put to many they wasted more time.if they got there report card today they would have to get a better grade.
Candy 5-301
1/26/2012 03:49:16 am
Yes it did but it still has more thing involved with it . Why you put 4 loops then 3 because it need to go less then more thing involved. Successful because everything was correct and i like it ever much.

4. how come it does not have a touch sensor
Amourelle 5-301
1/26/2012 03:50:55 am
1. Why didn't the group connected the stop light its important or else it won"t work well the group must connect the project to the red light. This group doesn't have a red light then won"t stop it will keep going and going till the robot battery dies so really its need a stop light it could use more sec because 1 sec isn't that much for the robot it will keep going .So the project its incorrect its need to be fixed and restart the whole project all over again because then the project will not make sense and the robot will do something weird like what if spinned all day and you didn't want that happen maybe because you didn't put the red light and how many sec like for example :1.1 is ok but not the whole number 1 because if try it can it can go to loop again again again again because 1 sec i think its means 1 min so really the project is wrong should be fixed in a correct way or else it makes no sense to person trying to do it he or she may be get confused and will ask the teacher why isn't working maybe because its missing a icon like red light and 1.1 sec or else it can start over again also missing ABC stop it unsucessfull program need to be fixed or else it won't work well the group needs to be fixed .
stephanie 5-301
1/26/2012 03:51:19 am
i think it was good because we learn how to do that.so then we are older we can do it when we want to at home.so i like to be at computers. we learn many things when we are older

my program is like the same program is because i am studying light senser to and that looks just like my progarm.we can have fewer progams you can do jump or loop. this is why my program is the same as the groups!!!!

3.I like your program. I think it will be succesful. 1 way you could've used less blocks is taking out motor A or C when you want it to spin. You could've also put jump and land instead of the loop.My program looks very similar.
crystal 5-301
2/9/2012 03:51:39 am
your not sopposed to put a loop at almost the end of the robot then it wont form the proper form it not going to do very well it going to mess up the robot program and the idea of the robot system of the robot Comments are closed.
