Tips
- Sync your iPad to your computer (home or work) and your iTunes account. Syncing allows you to backup files and apps to your computer. You may also create a separate iTunes account if you do not wish to use your personal account. In any case, the apps you purchase are yours.
- Update your iPad regularly for better compatibility, function, security etc.
- Save files to the "cloud" so you will have access to your files wherever you have Internet access. Some examples of cloud computing services include:
- iCloud - only works with Mac's newer OS (Lion or 7.2 or later) and Windows 7 or Vista (latest update). Your iPad or iPhone must have iOS 5 to work with iCloud.
- Dropbox - free for a certain amount of file storage (pay extra to increase file storage space).
- Google Docs - free with a Gmail account. Create documents, presentations, spreadsheets, forms and also file storage.
- DocsAnywhere

- Not every company creates apps that are compatible with iPads, for, example, Adobe (Flash, Reader) and Microsoft Office. Third party companies, such as Rover, are trying to solve this issue.
