Think about: What did you learn to do? What steps did your team take to complete the task? What troubleshooting tips do you have for others? Why would a real-world robot need to interact with its environment? What does your team need to do to complete the activity during our next class?
In today's challenge, you and your partner will program your robot to interact with its environment. Use this area to post your team's challenges, successes, and advice to other teams. Your response must be at least three sentences and must be written in complete sentences.

Today, we learned about using the light sensor. The robot goes forward until it finds darkness, then stops and reverses. We used the website to help us program our robot correctly, and we didn't find struggles.

Today we learned how to use the light sensor and how to use a robot in dark places

Today me and my partner learned how to use the light sensor. We used the website to help us. We couldn't time the robot to stop at the dark area. We were off on our average by 0.5

Today, we were using the light sensor for dark habitats. We experienced programming the robot in various ways. Such as changing wires, switching programs after it didn't work, and lots of tests. Furthermore, we noticed that as soon as the robot senses the dark place, it had to reverse and get out.

Today me and my partner learned how to control our robot depending on different area surfaces and whether or not the robot is around a dark area and if it is about to hit a wall. We found great success in doing this and we are ready for some next steps.

Last week in technology, we learned about the light sensor on the robot. We learned that when the robot went forward it would stop when it reached the dark part of the table. Once it reached the dark part it would go in reverse for two seconds and then stop. In the beginning we had some difficulties but then we got a hang of it by asking Ms. Clarke.

Today in technology, we programmed our robot to stop at a black line, go backwards, and turn right at 90 degrees, by using the light sensor. Our work was a success and everything went as planned. However, we've made several silly mistakes through the process. For example, we forgot to add some stop signs.

In this task we learned how to use a light sensor. Our team programmed the robot to go forward until it reached a dark surface. Then it backed away, turned around and drove away.

Today,we learned about programming robots to run programs until they hit a dark spot (for this we used the light sensor thing). we had to change many things on our way, like wrong programs, and the robot just spinning around. We finally changed some things and got the robot to go forward until it sees the dark line on our desk, reverse, Turn around and repeat.

We learned how to operate the light sensor today in class. We had several trials (many of which were unsuccessful, however) trying to use it. We always made the same error by measuring the light incorrectly, so in turn the robot went immediately backwards or just kept on running. We didn't remember to check the light by using view 3, we just used the first view. However, we eventually found to do so (with help) and our robot followed our command to run forward until it reached the dark spot.

Today my partner and I learned how to use the light sensor on our robot. It took some time because first we had to find the light and dark number then add and divide. Finally we programed the robot to run until it reaches a dark area, then turn away. We decided to make a loop, so this made the robot run until it reaches a dark area over and over again.

Today we learned how to program a robot to sense light . It was a little difficult for us because we were confused with how to reverse and turn but then with a little help we finally got it . A robot would need to interact with its environment so that it does not bump into things and break. A tip for others it to make sure your light sensor is on before starting because we got really frustrated before we realized that the light sensor was off. So in all it was a fun and challenging task and hope that people enjoyed it too.

Today Emi and I programmed our robot to go forward until it reached a dark area, then turn in a 180 degree angle then go forward again until something touched it. We had a few errors at first, (especially with the battery running low) but we were able to finish the program and get a four in the process of using both the light sensor and the touch sensor.
